Along the ancient Via Salaria, less than
30 minutes from the centre of Rome,
the Fonte di Papa Country Guest House (Tenuta Agricola
Fonte di Papa) is located inside the Marcigliana
Nature Reserve.
Its origins start at the end of the 1800's and
is part of an old property, where main agricultural
activities were wine production
in the “Fonte di Papa” cellars and
horse breeding. Today, this country
guest house is one of the few agricultural properties
left in Rome that still maintains its original
and natural predisposition for raising horses
and experiencing farming life. The property consists
of 10 hectares of flat land and
two farmhouses.
The first farmhouse offers accommodation for people
who would like to spend a few relaxing
days in the countryside, all the while
conveniently located at 15 km from Rome
center and is the ideal place for people
who like horseback riding. The
second farmhouse is dedicated entirely to horses
with stables in their original structure.
